Forge Overview

Forge is EasyPost’s solution for platforms, marketplaces, and other B2B businesses that offer end-to-end parcel shipping capabilities. With fast onboarding, access to EasyPost’s 100+ multi-carrier network, and competitive rates, Forge enables seamless integration of shipping functionality.
Each business or customer that signs up for a platform’s shipping services is assigned a sub_account
. Platforms can configure sub accounts to align with their
business model, distributing specific responsibilities between the platform, EasyPost, and sub accounts.

Before integrating with Forge, review the following EasyPost documentation:

EasyPost provides industry-leading shipping APIs with 99.99% uptime, covering end-to-end shipping use cases. Forge enables platforms to integrate shipping functionality seamlessly, forging together a customized shipping offering by leveraging EasyPost’s APIs to enhance the customer experience.
Shipping capabilities can be built using EasyPost’s APIs for Shipping Labels, Parcel Insurance, Tracking, Scheduling Pick Ups, and Address Verification. Additional tools such as Report Generation and the Shipping UI Tutorial are also available.
Sub accounts represent customers or businesses using a platform’s shipping services. Account setup allows for the collection of necessary information to enable postage purchase, parcel insurance, and other shipping-related fees or surcharges.
